| Activation |
The only proper way to activate these features is to go to the Ericsson service center and request the activate those features on your phone. However, you must have a legitimate reason for doing so.
There are programs (you will need the appropriate cable) on the internet that do allow you to activate the indicators on your phone but they have been written by the underground Ericsson user community and should only be done at your own risk. Also, be aware that such actions will void your warranty with Ericsson and could also be illegal in your country.
For the technically sound people, to activate the indicators, you must change the values in the EEPROM of the phone at the following offsets:
