Tips & Tricks
It is a good idea to have these two entries in your phone
book, they are "Home" -- your land line phone number and "Myself" -- your
own mobile phone number. This can be handy when you misplace your phone
and some kind soul wants to find the owner (you).
"Why bother doing this?" you might ask:
- If they can't find you, the phone is theirs! (heard of "finders keepers,
losers weepers!")
- They rather call you than go to your service provider and leave the
phone there. Plus the previous reason looks tempting...
- If your subscribe to CLIR (Call Line Identification Restrict), they
would not know what is your phone number. They could call you
especially when you bar the old SIM and have it replaced. Also,
the kind soul could call you at home to tell you your mobile phone has
been found. Note: Never give the finder you home address,
always agree to meet somewhere in public (for the safety of your
family and yourself).
